I have this incredibly talented, crazy quilting friend who insisted on teaching me to quilt when I moved here. I made one for Natalie, one for a dear friend whose husband passed away and this is my third........ the ward friendship quilt.
We each made 20 squares and then traded to make our own quilts, it will be the perfect reminder of some of the great friends we have in Flagstaff after the move.

This is my square......the Kansas sunflower of course

That is a beautiful quilt, you need to teach me.
I love it! I wish I knew how to do that - I love quilts. And what move? Are you already moving again? To San Diego (pretty please)? :)
ok oh my goodness!!!! That striped fabric around your squares I have been on a search to find that fabric. I am having a quilt made for Kendal and I found all these fabrics at Joanns but they never have the stripe that goes with it. I have been back for 5 weeks now looking for it. They tell me they can't order it unless I have the number and they can't get the number unless they have the fabric. Anyway do you know the number (it would be on your receipt), or do you have extra? I have been obsessed trying to find it! And your quilt is so cool, I had no idea you were so crafty!! Let me know!
Hey Cousin-in-law! I'm impressed with the quilt! It's a skill I've decided I am going to leave earth not knowing. I hope appreciating other peoples quilting talents will get me in those pearly gates!
That is amazing! My mom made the boys quilts and they LOVE them-they are so special to them. I have never had any talent with a needle and thread. It turned out beutiful! (by the way...what move?? are you moving again?? back to california???)
So cute! You wanna do it again when you get here? ;)
